JW Anderson is probably one of the most sought after talents of our time. A champion when it comes to reinterpreting himself, he knows like no other how to blend into a brand’s wardrobe, increasing its value but never watering down its core identity. The latest example is his new work for Uniqlo, with whom he has been collaborating since 2017. The main inspiration being the preppy style within elitist English colleges and historical sports such as rugby, badminton, tennis… these vintage inspirations have often been invoked by Anderson, and surely benefit from Uniqlo’s fabric and price expertise.
