On the occasion of Milan Design Week, Roche Bobois is launching its new BomBom outdoor collection signed by contemporary art superstar Joana Vasconcelos. A Parisian with Portuguese blood in her veins, the artist said she imagined a collection’s color palette inspired by the sun-kissed facades of old Lisbon houses. The poetic and joyful series of pieces consists of sofas, rugs, cushions and coffee tables designed in the organic hues that have become Joana’s trademark. But that’s not all. In the Maison’s showroom, located in the heart of the Design District, the artist has designed “Valkyrie,” a large 45×8-meter suspended art installation that transforms the Milan boutique into a hall of the Guggenheim Museum.
