Mounted on silk threads, Ivarene’s rows of precious stones seem to be gently floating around the necks they adorn. Entirely hand-assembled in Paris, these fine, natural stones are tied on a strong cord that also slightly keeps them apart by three little knots. The assemblage is simple, yet effective. Nevertheless, Elisa Battistini is the daughter of Michel Emelin, jeweller of Place Vendôme and founder of Poiray and Verney, and so she grew up in an environment where art, fine objects and jewellery flourished. Her wish to also become a Jewell creator arose when she was in Los Angeles, in her home lodged in the hills at 6388 Ivarene Avenue. The adage “Like father, like daughter” comes to mind. Back in Paris, she launched Ivarene. With a distinctive ethnic-chich look and selling for around 500 euros on average, her pieces aren’t commonly spotted on the streets and deserve to be put under the spotlight.
