Hotel Corazon Mallorca x Moredesign Studio: With A Valiant Heart

Nothing is impossible, even the rehabilitation of Mallorca, unfairly underestimated compared to its two siblings. Admittedly, it was a symbol of an unenviable type of German tourism in the 70s and 80s. But today, thanks to establishments like this one, the island is making a powerful comeback. In the bewitching backdrop of the Serra de Tramuntana, Hotel Corazón emerges as a contemporary retreat rooted in Mallorca’s enchanting and often overlooked history. This 15-room hotel was created by British fashion photographer Kate Bellm and Mexican artist Edgar Lopez Arellano, who, driven by passion, have transformed an 18th-century finca in a sanctuary for adventure-seeking city dwellers. In collaboration with Moredesign, a renowned local architecture firm, they shaped a space that embodies the region’s romantic heritage, drawing inspiration from the surrounding olive groves and lemon orchards, as well as the ever-inviting Mediterranean Sea. Vintage design, 35mm aesthetic, hippie chic 2.0 vibe, it’s hard to beat these days.
