Gucci x l’année du tigre : A Fashion bite

Once again Alessandro Michele skillfully combines Gucci’s new vocabulary with its rich heritage. By taking a historic floral motif designed by Vittorio Accornero in the 1960s and mixing it with a tiger motif (celebrated this year on the Chinese calendar), the designer succeeds in creating a new, highly desirable collection reconciling tailoring and streetwear. After a nod to Mickey Mouse in 2021 (for the Year of the Mouse), it is now the turn of a roaring feline in the heart of a flamboyant nature to rule over the baroque style of the Florentine designer.
