Fred Perry x Gate194 : Berlin Berlin

Fred Perry has always been known for his close ties to English subcultures (much like Lacoste in the French 90s), but not so much for his wider appeal to Berlin’s avant-garde scenes. However, London’s biggest party-goers were happy to travel to Berlin to experience a sound and population that was far more radical than anywhere else. In doing so, they could very easily introduce their German counterparts with the intricacies of the laurel wreath brand. A worthy heir to this sartorial curiosity, Berlin concept store Gate194 was given the opportunity to reinterpret the brand’s famous logo. Being the main retailer of high-end brands such as Vêtements, Rick Owens or Casablanca, the shop is not new to the business of making a brand desirable. It then delivered a small capsule collection with a very special energy.
