On August 11th, 1965, Ford unveiled the original Bronco. At the time, it was available as a pick-up, estate car and roadster. The latter, specifically a highly sought-after Wimbledon White model, is the inspiration behind this new Bronco Roadster Concept. Since it lacks regulatory safety equipment such as a roll bar or three-point seat belts, it is not intended for production but as an homage to the model’s origins. It has no roof and features simplified seats, a manual transmission, a stripped-down floor, a utility rear compartment with a tailgate, and modified bumpers that are closer to the original. However, it’s a safe bet that if this concept is as successful as we imagine, we wouldn’t be surprised to see a duly approved version hit the market. Perhaps with a hybrid or electric engine?
