This probably wasn’t in your wildest dreams. While there are plenty of 911 restomods on the market, you can count on one hand those based on the discreet, yet irresistible Porsche 914. The project was first presented in 2021, but it’s only seeing the light of day this year. Based on the Porsche Cayman S, the car features a mid-engined roadster with a targa roof. Under the bonnet is a 3.8-litre flat-six engine that has undergone a complete overhaul to unleash an impressive 380-400bhp. Design-wise, Fifteen Eleven has ditched the original retractable headlamps in favour of projector-style LED lamps. Whereas the original 914 was air-cooled, the Cayman’s engine is water-cooled, requiring the company to adapt the front bumper and bonnet to make room for the radiator and oil cooler. The retractable roof remains, but Fifteen Eleven has made the panel transparent for a brighter cabin, and the exterior panels are made of carbon fibre. Lastly, the interior of the redesigned 914 reveals the same commitment to detail, using bespoke leather throughout the cabin and Recaro seats for added comfort. Each order is a bespoke creation, tailored to the customer’s colour and trim preferences, and is available in left-hand drive or right-hand drive configurations, for just over 400,000€…
