Fendi has chosen the home of the late Xavier Corbero, a stone’s throw from Barcelona, as the setting for the presentation of its latest collections. For the Italian fashion house, this is not novelty but rather the pursuit of a long tradition dating back to 1987, when Anna Fendi, Silvia’s mother, presented a first furniture collection. The artist’s house was not chosen by chance: the design idea is to create a dialogue between the house and the creations, as in the case of this “arch” table made from a single block of marble. At the border between furniture and sculpture, the collection brings a breath of fresh air to an exercise that can sometimes be a bit constrained. Colors, shapes and materials lay new foundations that should convince those who seek to punctuate their interiors with a vibrant relevance.
