Emporio Armani x WORK SHOP: A Story of Craft, Memory and Escape

Armani x WORK SHOP marks the renewed collaboration between Emporio Armani and Our Legacy Work Shop, the creative lab of the Swedish brand. For Spring/Summer 2024, the collection dives deeper into the world of archival elegance—this time introducing womenswear for the first time.

Shot by Alasdair McLellan on the remote island of Pantelleria, Giorgio Armani’s personal retreat, the campaign captures the sun-soaked, slow-living spirit of the pieces. The collection revisits classic Emporio Armani silhouettes, filtering them through the experimental lens of WORK SHOP, with added references to East Asian design and hospitality.

Key garments like the robe-inspired Toga Coat, the collarless Sciovolo Shirt, and the motif-lined Ampolla Blazer convey a sophisticated ease. Many materials come directly from the Armani archives, while others have been recreated from vintage fabrics exclusively by Our Legacy. “I love things that age well,” says Giorgio Armani. “Things that don’t date.” Creative director Cristopher Nying adds, “These fabrics carry history. Reworking them was unexpectedly rewarding.”

Launching May 16, the collection will feature a special installation at the Armani/Manzoni store in Milan and selected global boutiques.
