ELLE MEN China is one of the biggest headlines in the Chinese men’s press. Quite often, the fashion shoots for magazines are very challenging: how can one reinterpret a 100-year-old genre? How can one show the clothing, make it beautiful while being creative? ELLE MEN recently found the answer to these difficult questions by completely shifting its habits. No photo shoot this time but instead a series of drawings produced by one of the most famous mangaka: Eiichiro Oda. Courted by Netflix, Oda and his star hero ‘One Piece’, have teamed up with one of today’s most hyped brand: Gucci. Both faithful to his original drawing style and to the garment, Eiichiro Oda has produced a series of looks that give the collection an astonishing dimension. Postures, materials, movements… This free interpretation of the Gucci style is unlike any other. This yet another move from the Italian designer Alessandro Michele, who continues to disrupt the habits of the fashion industry while catching a new audience.
