Talk about Christian before he became Christian Dior. That’s what led Kim Jones to design a collection staged in the chic seaside resort of Granville, Normandy. The disorganized wildflowers give a sense of freshness that defines the Normandy town, and reminds us of its close English neighbors. Rightly so, as Kim Jones evokes the influence of the Bloomsbury group, an early 20th century artistic and intellectual movement led by Duncan Grant and Virginia Woolf in England. A rather bucolic setting for a rather strict collection that celebrates spring.
