The new Radisson Collection Lingang Shanghai is a true masterpiece of contemporary design. This achievement is the result of a collaboration between the architectural firms De.Tales and MMA Projects, with the contribution of GALA China. The project perfectly combines luxury and modernity, with a touch of both Italian and Chinese culture.
Located in Shanghai’s new free trade zone and designed to seamlessly blend into its urban surroundings, the building spans a vast 46,700 square meters and houses a 5-star hotel along with various luxury residences. The design is inspired by concentric waves, reminiscent of those formed when a drop falls into water, creating a natural flow between commercial, residential, and public spaces.
The central theme of the project is the concept of “slow flow,” which is reflected in every interior detail, including the design of the furnishings. MMA Projects, for instance, crafted truly impressive common areas, like the 19-meter-high atrium that greets guests with a spectacular fountain and a grand stone reception desk. The pool area, with its curved ceilings and travertine walls, is designed to immerse guests in a calm, flowing environment.
On the other hand, De.Tales focused on the rooms and residences, creating spaces that are both functional and elegant. Every detail has been designed to provide maximum comfort, with high-end finishes and contemporary design. Lighting plays a key role here, with fixtures designed to resemble floating clouds, adding elegance and dynamism to the spaces. The combination of stone, bronze, and wood creates a sophisticated and welcoming atmosphere.
In short, the Radisson Collection Lingang Shanghai is much more than just a hotel—it’s a place where design, functionality, and culture come together like a magical potion to offer guests a truly unique sensory experience (and much more).
