Collection Marcel Petitjean X RM Sotheby’s: Breaking records

A top driver in the 1960s turned businessman after an accident, Marcel Petitjean had the idea to collect Ferraris at a time when nobody was really interested in them. Too expensive, unreliable… The Italian cars suffered quite a bad reputation – partly justifiable – yet they still had that unique charm. They also embodied a form of raw performance dear to Enzo Ferrari. Often designed by the absolute master Pininfarina, some of these cars have broken records when it comes to their price in recent years. The RM Sotheby’s auction house will soon sell this collection on Wednesday February 2nd. Part of the lot: The fabulous 275 GTB/4, which should happily exceed an estimation of two million euros.
