Less than 20 years after, mid-2000s fashion is already making its comeback. The 90s, which gave us the finest hours in 2022, are progressively being replaced. This collaboration between Levi’s and CLOT, a nod to their prior interaction in 2006, is living proof. For the record, CLOT was founded by Kevin Poon and Edison Chen in 2003. Poon was born in Hong Kong yet raised in Chicago, while Chen was born in Canada but is of Chinese descent. It was a wish to marry, or at least bring together, East and West, that led them to merge American cool culture with Asian tradition. On the agenda of this latest drop, are bandana inserts in the immortal 501, chic and oversized down jackets, quilted overshirts combining traditional Chinese workwear buttoning, and American street culture. Nothing revolutionary, yet highly effective.
