In the image of the mythical Mercedes G class, the MINI Moke is the civilian adaptation of a military vehicle. The original idea of the British army? To be able to parachute a solid, yet small and light vehicle that could handle any terrain. In the early 60s, this little gem became, just like the fashionable Mini, the ideal beach car for a St Tropez jet set in search of a convertible that could take on the sand. When Heidi Slimane landed in St Tropez for the first time, he instantly fell in love with this little car, which Brigitte Bardot herself famously drove too. To continue his exploration of vintage chic à la française, the artistic director proposes now his summer version of the CELINE driver. With its creamy seats, wooden steering wheel and monogram, it should overrun many of the cars in the lanes of the mythical Var Harbour.
