Crafted in Cartier’s Paris workshops, this piece is inspired by a pendant adorned with a cross dating from the 1880s, discovered by Wes Anderson in the company’s heritage collection, the Cartier Collection. Starting in 2024, the artisans at the haute joaillerie studio have been busy recreating the original prayer bead, following one strict criterion: to enlarge the cross so that it is easier for Wes Anderson’s camera to capture it on screen. For Cartier, this is yet another way of reiterating its long-standing devotion to the seventh art – the brand is an official partner of the Venice International Film Festival, and the founder of the annual Cartier Glory to the Filmmaker Award, awarded to Wes Anderson in 2023!
