Cap Rocat has found its home in a former fortified citadel, built on the Cap Enderrocat to protect the Bay of Palma from pirates and enemies. Guests will find themselves amidst old guard posts, trenches and fortified walls hidden away in rosemary groves. Rehabilitating this National Heritage fortress while preserving its identity and natural environment represented a colossal architectural challenge, which has won the hotel the Europa Nostra Heritage Award. From the outset, Antonio Obrador, owner and architect of Cap Rocat, set out to preserve the unique identity of the site, making it a highly luxurious destination while highlighting its unique history. A little jewel hidden 12 metres below the surface, in the most protected corner of the citadel, the spa is a work of art in its own right. Its indoor saltwater pool, sunk into the stone walls, is bathed in natural light thanks to a glass roof. When you emerge from the water, you can choose between treatments inspired by Turkish hammam or Ayurvedic principles.
