In the heart of Milan, Canali’s sartorial elegance intertwines with contemporary art thanks to Milano MuseoCity. The occasion is a tribute to Fausta Squatriti. The historic menswear brand is hosting an exclusive exhibition in its Via Verri store, dedicated to the recently departed artist. Eight sculptures from the Sculture Colorate (1964-72) series transform the boutique into an immersive journey through material, time, and experimentation.

This initiative, born from the collaboration between Canali per l’Arte, MuseoCity, and the Fausta Squatriti Archive, is more than just an exhibition—it is a true dialogue between fashion and art. On one side, the artist’s material innovation, using iron, plexiglass, and steel to push the boundaries of traditional sculpture. On the other, Canali’s stylistic research, which has long explored the perfect balance between tradition and avant-garde tailoring.

Fausta Squatriti, a visionary and multifaceted artist, left an indelible mark on the international art scene. Her language, influenced by masters such as Kokoschka, Fontana, and Man Ray, is based on a continuous interplay between positive and negative, rigor and freedom. This creative tension is the guiding thread of the event, bringing art beyond museum walls and into the fabric of the city.

The initiative is part of MuseoCity’s In Vetrina project, which transforms Milan’s exhibition spaces into open-air galleries, involving over 130 museums and institutions.
