Bulgari x ACPV Architects: A New Hospitality Gem in the Maldives

Luxury and Italian architecture arrive in the turquoise waters of the Raa Atoll: the new Bulgari Resort Ranfushi, designed by ACPV Architects—the firm founded by Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel—is set to redefine exclusivity in the Maldives. It is the thirteenth jewel in the Bulgari Hotels & Resorts collection and, like its predecessors, translates the house’s philosophy into an architectural language of balance, elegance, and a sense of place.

Spreading over twenty hectares of islands and lagoons, the resort comprises 54 residences, including Beach and Overwater Villas, with the spectacular Bulgari Villa located on a private island. Citterio and Viel have crafted a seamless connection between interior and exterior, blending natural materials, clean lines, and local craftsmanship in a contemporary vision of tropical living. The architecture is discreet, almost suspended, while the reflections of wood and stone interact with the azure ocean. Each space is designed as an intimate retreat, yet with the scale of an Italian fashion house: from Il Ristorante – Niko Romito to the Bulgari Bar, the spa, and the yoga pavilion.

Under the direction of Enver Arslan, the new resort promises an experience that combines Bulgari’s aesthetic with ACPV’s design sensibility, transforming Ranfushi into the most refined and private island in the Maldivian archipelago.
