Overlooking St Mark’s Square, the small island of Giudecca is a little treasure safeguarded from tourists. Until June 18th, the Spaces of Officine 800 hosts a major retrospective exhibition rediscovering the Bucellati universe. Produced by the Balich Wonder Studio and curated by Alba Cappellieri, the exhibition features a selection of jewellery and silverware pieces, tracing over 100 years of Buccellati creation, showcasing the mastery and preciousness of the Prince of Goldsmiths. The name of the exhibit comes from the way Gabriele d’Annunzio, one of the most influential Italian writers and poets of the 20th century, described Mario Buccellati in 1936, attesting to his mastery in the creation of timeless objects as “masterpieces”. At the crossroads of the marvellous, we can’t recommend enough that you jump on a boat for this Italian island to indulge in these artistic delights with your eyes.
