Founded by Benjamin Russell in 1902, the brand originally specialized in underwear collections for women and children. With the popularization of sports in the 1920s, Benjamin Russell had the pioneering idea to branch out and offer clothing for athletes. Russell Athletic was born, and with it, the iconic sweatshirt. To celebrate this invention, Hugo Boss teamed up with the label on a brand new collection that was just presented live from the Gotham Hall in New York (which was transformed into a basketball court for the occasion).
