Bertrand Grebaut X Septime : Outstanding pastry

In French, it only takes swapping two letters of the word ‘tapestry’ (tapisserie) to get ‘pastry’ (pâtisserie). From this play on words, French chef Bertrand Grébaut invented one today’s most sought-after bakeries. A short walk away from Septime, his Michelin-starred restaurant (which name was inspired by the film ‘The Big Restaurant’ with Louis de Funès), is already a must-taste. To tease his fans, the chef posted mouthwatering pictures of his ‘Clamatarte’ pie (a play on the name of another one of his restaurants) soon to be revisited with chocolate and caramel. Designed by Etienne Renard, the storefront made of wood looks like it could fit as a trendy coffee shop from Brooklyn. For those who aren’t lucky enough to live near the Rue de Charonne, it’s a safe bet that Grébaut will soon provide home delivery services, just like he did with his successful ‘Septime à la maison’…
