The son of a baker from Lake Como, Horacio Pagani was born and raised in sunny Argentina in the 1950s. After studying engineering, his passion for Italian automobile brought him back to Europe where he became one of the great specialists in composite materials, which he put to use in Formula 1 racing in the 1970s. He then joined Lamborghini as development director in the 1980s before deciding to launch his own brand in 1992. Pagani is obsessed with performance and offers his clients to literally handcraft wonderful cars for them. The latest of his creations, the aptly named « Supernova » was just unveiled, and already left to join the collection of a great Canadian collector. With more than 800hp, a nearly 330km/h speed capacity, and going from 0 to 100km/h in three seconds, Pagani cars are real missiles. Inside, while a splendid Scottish tartan meets the century-old wood of the gear knob, the carbon fiber underlines the most beautiful leathers. Bridging the gap between traditional art and technology, Pagani cars hold a special place in the hearts of (wealthy) car lovers, who consider these machines to be unique sculptures.
