Demna Gvasalia always strikes where you least expect it. Going from collaborations to special projects, the artistic director of Balenciaga leads the pack when it comes to making an impact with his collections, often overshadowing other brands in the process. One recent exception: His collaboration with Gucci was a real hit, and the designer even went so far as to write the name GUCCI as a giant graffiti on the window of his Balenciaga store on Rue Saint-Honoré. For Christmas, Demna Gvasalia is playing Santa with a home collection of sheets, tablecloths, cushions, glasses and even Christmas ornaments. The collection was designed with meticulous attention and while Christmas can sound cheesy, Gvasalia’s take definitely exudes cool.
