Banned from urban centers because of environmental standards, vintage cars may get another chance at city life thanks to the great Thomas Edison. The man responsible for much of the light that illuminates our lives, is reborn with the electric conversion of vintage vehicles. The principle called “retrofit” which has been around for a few years, simply aims to remove the thermal block and gearbox from an old car and insert an electric unit. With punch, reliability and silence, electric propulsion has so much to offer. As far as the sublime DB6 convertible is concerned, just the idea of it makes people drool. To this day, the conversion proposed by the brand today remains a prototype. But the same was true of the Jaguar E-Type, which the manufacturer now offers upon request. FYI: in France, the principle has just been passed by law and allows you to obtain a vehicle registration in due form after the conversion has been validated.
