Aston Martin DB4 x Bonhams: Saint-Moritz, Here We Come

We can already picture ourselves on the road to Saint-Moritz, revving up a 6-cylinder engine in the soft winter light. Aston Martins, crowned coolest car brand of them all, has managed to preserve that “je-ne-sais-quoi” that sets it apart from the rest of the world. Presented by Bonhams, this DB4, with its metallic French blue finish and caramel leather interior carefully left to the ravages of time, is one of the finest examples of this. Unlike its predecessors, the DB4 was designed in Italy, specifically by Touring, for whom stylist Federico Formenti created an all-aluminum body based on the “Superleggera” principle patented by the coachbuilder. Elegant, aggressively stylish and performance-oriented, the DB4’s design is a masterpiece. One of the most recent and therefore the most powerful, this version is now auctioned at around €350,000. That’s the price to pay for a legendary British grand tourer.
