Aman Sveti Stefan x Denniston Architects : Jewel of the sea

A former stronghold from the 15th century, this tiny peninsula located in Montenegro was transformed into a hotel by the firm Denniston, which was founded by Belgian architect Jean-Michel Gathy. Holding a rich history, the peninsula was entirely renovated and offers breathtaking views. Every singular construction holds a private room and spa. Visually, the hotel and its surroundings look like they’ve come out of a movie set. Which is quite literally what inspired the director of ‘Casino Royale’ to shoot one of the film’s scenes there. Very popular among the Royal Family of Yugoslavia, as well as President Tito, this little piece of heaven has remained a peaceful fishing village up until the 1930s. Surrounded by the waters of one of the most beautiful fjords in the world, this jewel of the sea is as breathtaking as some of the greatest Italian lakes. And that’s no understatement!
