Mediterranean shores seem to still enjoy a summer breeze these days… This is surely one of the best times to enjoy Ibiza, as the island is far too popular during high season. Housed in a nineteenth-century farmhouse designed by Pablo Fernandes-Valdes, a Spanish architect known for his inventive hotel projects, Aguamadera Resort Ibiza is an intimate retreat home for those who enjoy that rough/quiet luxury we love so much. The view from its seven rooms and four suites is simply breathtaking, as the hotel is located at the top of a hill overviewing acres of pine and olive trees. Originally built in 1888, the two-storey structure had been transformed into a rustic oasis tinged with a natural palette of clay walls, straw mats, and organic materials. The icing on the cake is handcrafted furniture pieces and artworks by local artists. Not to mention the private terraces and communal outdoor areas, including a swimming pool, which naturally draw visitors to the landscape. Last but not least, the restaurant’s menu is completely produced with the property’s own vegetable garden and local producers, the perfect way to get a taste of the times.
