Agostino Lacurci x Door: an Enchanted Garden Opens the First Edition of Opendoor

In the silent greenery of the Chiostri di San Barnaba, a few steps away from the creative chaos of Design Week, a parallel world made of colors, shapes and visions comes to life: it is Opendoor, the first event entirely dedicated to the outdoors conceived by door, the interior design magazine of la Repubblica directed by Emanuele Farneti. Welcoming, like an enchanted threshold towards this universe, is the site-specific installation “Delights”, designed by the artist Agostino Iacurci: a real Garden of Wonders that reflects on the domestic and public landscape with irony and poetry.

Curated by Luca Molinari, Opendoor is much more than an exhibition space: it is an immersive experience that combines nature, design and contemporary thought. From 7 to 13 April, the event will host a rich program of talks, workshops, DJ sets and interviews that will bring together the big names in design with voices from art, fashion and writing. Each day will end with an exclusive DJ set by Radio Deejay, transforming the cloister into an open-air lounge where you can exchange ideas, listen to stories and get inspired.

The project by Francesca Santambrogio, responsible for the selection and installation of the furnishings, creates an outdoor that is no longer just a functional space but a backdrop for everyday life. The production is by Fasten Seat Belts, a guarantee of quality and attention to detail. An opportunity to rethink outdoor design, with an inclusive and multidisciplinary perspective.
