The force of nature, and in particular that of the sea, is what inspires the collaboration between 8 by Yoox and Spanish artist Coco Capitán. Baptized CAPITANA, this unisex capsule is a transversal proposal that breaks down all barriers and focuses on sustainability – more than 80% of the collection is made of deadstock or organic cotton. The collection is designed for globetrotters in search of inspiration and new stimuli, and so we find basic pieces jazzed-up with contemporary touches: sweatshirts, waistcoats and t-shirts, but also shirts, pyjama-style suits and accessories in a wide colour palette. But there’s more to it! In addition to the clothing line we also find home design objects like vases of coffee sets by Coco. The artist’s iconic signature can be found on each piece as well as messages like “Lost Loser”, “Gei” and “Live Like You Are Gonna Die” are printed on the garments. An ode to everyday life, to give free rein to our creativity and use imagination to fly away to wondrous worlds. CAPITANA is available throughout February on the Yoox website.
