Her Excellency Hend Al Otaiba is an Emirati government official who has made her mark on the global stage in 2021 as the first-ever female ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to France. Born in the UAE, H.E. Hend Al Otaiba pursued her education abroad, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in psychology in London and later earning master’s degrees in marketing, management, and communications from the Paris Sorbonne Abu Dhabi, as well as a master’s in security studies from the UAE National Defense College. Prior to her appointment as ambassador, H.E. Hend Al Otaiba held several high-profile positions within the UAE government, including serving as the Director of Strategic Communications at the Abu Dhabi Media organization and the first director of the strategic communications department at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Her extensive experience in the realm of communications and diplomacy has proven invaluable in her current role as ambassador. In 2024, she authored a book titled “Majlon – Building Bridges Through Diplomacy,” which she presented at a prestigious event hosted at the French National Library. This publication serves as a testament to her commitment to fostering cultural exchange and strengthening the bond between the UAE and France.
