Born in 2001 in Uccle, Brussels, multimedia artist Pierre de Maere is set to become the new rising star of the Belgian music scene. Curious and extremely creative by nature, Pierre de Maere taught himself to play instruments and, upon receiving an iPad Touch at age 10, he composed his first tracks on Garage Band, a standard introductory composition app. In his teenage years, he develops an interest in photography, which leads him to pursue studies on the medium at the Beaux-Arts in Antwerp. A year later, he decided to relaunch his music career, publishing his first song on Spotify, Deezer and other streaming platforms. His breakthrough came in 2021 with the release of his first official single “Un jour, je marierai un ange”, co-produced with his brother Xavier de Maere and produced by Valentin Marceau. It was an absolute success, reaching the top 10 in France and Belgium, and earning de Maere not only a nomination at the NRJ Music Awards, where he was named the Breakthrough Belgian Artist of the Year, but also a Victoire de la Musique award for Breakthrough Male Artist of the Year in 2023.
