María Bernad

#fashion

An unrivalled “it girl” and content creator in her native Spain, María Bernad has managed to forge herself an international career that goes far beyond the influencer status. As is often the case, a good eye and love for vintage fashion and upcycling run in her blood. Sewing was at the heart of her household in Elche, where her grandmother and mother would introduce her not only to the art of needlework but also to repurposing and making the most of each fabric. The choice to pursue studies in Fashion and Design, which she did both in Valencia and Madrid, was quite a natural path. In 2018, she founded Les Fleurs with her mother, a personal project later to evolve into an online brand offering an upcycling collection and a selection of vintage clothing – whose distinctive aesthetics are best epitomized by María Bernad’s signature style. In 2022, she opened her own store in Paris – where she is currently based – to display the latest pieces by Les Fleurs, alongside a curated selection of vintage items and art pieces from French galleries. Increasingly rooted in her adopted Parisian milieu, Maria Bernad took part in the Accessories Jury at the 38th International Festival of Fashion, Photography and Accessories – Hyères, where she assisted its president, designer Alan Crocetti, as a designer and sustainability consultant.
