In 2001, Scott returned to the United States, settling in Los Angeles, where he continued to produce provocative and whimsical collections that earned him a cult following, particularly in Asia. In 2013, Scott was appointed as the creative director of the Italian fashion house Moschino, a role he held until 2023.
