Christian Heikoop is a multidisciplinary designer whose visionary approach blurs the boundaries between graphic, product and interior design. Driven by a strong commitment to sustainability, Heikoop draws on his training as a product designer and experiments with state-of-the-art technology, ancient know-how and the finest quality products to deliver unique and environmentally friendly pieces. While firmly committed and technically flawless, the Dutch designer also leaves room for some lightness, and makes a remarkable foray into fashion in 2017, mocking the “normcore” trend with a collection featuring exaggerated geometric jumpers. Most recently, Heikoop won the Accessories Prize at the 2024 ANDAM Awards for his luxury label Maeden and its innovative approach to leather goods.
