Zegna’s Redefinition of Elegance Closes Milan Menswear Fashion Week

Alessandro Sartori always had a clear idea of how masculine elegance and style should keep up with the times. It was indeed him the person behind the revival of the Zegna group in 2003, which he accomplished through the Z Zegna project, the first contemporary line of the Maison. Hardly surprisingly, Sartori was also behind the aesthetics of Berluti’s ready-to-wear between 2011 and 2016, before returning to Zegna as creative director. The spring summer 2025 collection perfectly embodies the designer’s vision. Starting from the Oasi Lino project, which this year uses totally traceable and sustainable fibres, he created a collection that can only be defined as elegant, overcoming the limits of the formal without becoming casual. The silhouettes are designed to enhance the body’s shapes and make those who wear these clothes feel comfortable and special. To highlight this concept, very different types of people, in terms of age and profession, took turns on the catwalk, in order to show how garments can change depending on the wearer. Inevitably, it was brand ambassador Mads Mikkelsen who closed the show, while those present to applaud from the parterre included Daniel Brühl, Leo Wu, Daphne Guinness, James Blake e Jameela Jamil, and many others.
