Virgil Abloh and Evian kick off Paris Fashion Week

Evian and Virgil Abloh: there’s a winning cocktail. (…A water-based cocktail, sure.) But really it’s a winning mix whose common denominator is sustainable development. Evian’s brand slogan is “Live Young” and their ad campaign features babies dancing; Jean Paul Gaultier, Christian Lacroix, and Kenzo have already re-imagined the water bottle in their own way and elevated a day-to-day object into a collector’s item. Who better way to further perpetuate this tradition than Virgil Abloh? The founder of Off-White and artistic director of Louis Vuitton men’s collections is a fan of collaborations—and he’s now a creative advisor for the brand’s sustainable innovation design, having dreamed up a series of reusable bottles inspired by rainbows. The “One Drop Can Make a Rainbow” collection was celebrated last night at the Palais de Chaillot, right at the start the Paris Fashion Week. Virgil Abloh made himself comfortable behind the turntables between DJ sets (by Louise Chen and Lazare Hoche), and played beats for Lukas Sabbat, Clara Berry and Lena Simonne, with the Eiffel Tower twinkling in the background…
