Vernissage “The State of Heaven”, part II

The State of Heaven bears witness to the attention paid by artists, poets and philosophers to the physical, moral and political circumstances of our world. This new season of the Palais de Tokyo will allow, in one semester, to discover more than ten proposals or exhibitions on this theme.

After the first five modules deployed on 14 February, the Palais de Tokyo inaugurated a second wave on Thursday evening, with three exhibitions and as many interventions on the building : “”Today the world is dead[Lost Human Genetic Archive]””, a new facet of an exhibition that Hiroshi Sugimoto has been creating for the past ten years by juxtaposing his collections of objects ; “Flemme éternelle”, a collection of works by Thomas Hirschhorn; and the Pierre Bergé Foundation module featuring Vivien Roubaud, Thomas Teurlai and Tatiana Wolska. The artists Natalie Czech, Emilie Ding and Sheila Hicks are in charge of new interventions on the building. Back on the vernissage, in the presence of the artists.
