Vernissage “Only a few fragments of us”

A few months after having sumptuously inaugurated its new branch in Pantin, the Thaddaeus Ropac Gallery varnished this weekend “Only a few fragments of us will touch a few fragments of others”, a collective exhibition with an ambiguous name that brings together a myriad of artists around a single theme: the art of collage, fragmentation and montage. The curator Timothée Chaillou traces twenty years of this artistic practice, from the 90s to the present day, by hanging works of the rising values of contemporary art, but also that of the greatest, including John M Armleder, Claude Levêque, Urs Fischer, and Richard Prince. To see, at 7 rue Debelleyme in Paris, until 19 January 2013.
