Vernissage of the Bloody Red Sun of Fantastic L.A’ sale
From November 4 to 9, 2015, PIASA invites René-Julien Praz to imagine an exhibition and then an auction dedicated to emerging artists from the Los Angeles scene.
From the most recognized to the most cutting-edge artists selected are the reflection of a generation, an era and a culture that in recent years have inspired many of their contemporary. An indisputable breeding ground for today’s art, the City of Angels continues more than ever to produce artists with its own specificities. To the art of assemblage, pop art, minimalism or conceptual art, Los Angeles artists respond with this sense of excess, this tendency to mixing and hybridization.
At Piasa, we find today for sale the worthy representation of this bubbling creation, with Matthew Carter, Joe Reihsen, Stuart Sandford, Joshua Nathanson or Ben Wolf Noam.
