Seduced by Jude Law on the Venetian Red Carpet
Saturday was Jude Law’s day to shine at the Venice Film Festival. The British actor stars in ‘The Order’, a film telling the story of a neo-Nazi terrorist group founded by Robert Jay Mathews in the early 1980s. On the red carpet at the Lido, all eyes were on the British actor, who for the occasion wore a tuxedo and a t-shirt. Alongside him were the other stars of the film, directed by Justin Kurzel, including Nicholas Hoult, Tye Sheridan and Jurnee Smollett.
Another film in competition is ‘Campo di Battaglia’ by Gianni Amelio. Set during the Great War, the film tells the story of a hospital where soldiers wounded at the front are sent, many of whom pretend to be ill or even injure themselves just to be sent home. The cast, who almost all walked the red carpet yesterday in front of the Palazzo del Cinema, includes the increasingly confident Alessandro Borghi—dressed head to toe by Alessandro Michele, the new creative director of Valentino.
The lavish red carpet the other evening didn’t just host actors from the films in competition but also showcased numerous stars from music, fashion, and culture in general. Among the most dazzling were: Eva Green, Stella Maxwell, Victoria De Angelis, Lucien Laviscount, Paola Egonu and Emily Ratajkowski.
