Vanity Fair celebrates the 50 most influential French people in the world

What do Hedi Slimane, Leïla Slimani and Kylian Mbappé have in common? These are three internationally celebrated French people who have particularly marked the past year, to the point of being the top 3 names in Vanity Fair’s 2018 list of the 50 most influential French people in the world. Undoubtedly legitimate when it comes to influence, the French edition of the iconic magazine, which is directed by Michel Denisot, makes it a point of honor to celebrate these French people who “shine, invent, annoy, inspire, and commit”. This is the case for the top three this year: Hedi Slimane for having caused a sensation (good or controversial) with his appointment at Céline (he succeeds Xavier Niel in first place in the ranking), Leïla Slimani for her groundbreaking literary work and 2016 Goncourt Prize for “Chanson douce”. Finally, the 19-year-old soccer player, Kylian MBappé, for being already predicted as the “future soccer superstar”. At Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild, many prestigious guests were invited by the magazine and Albane Cleret to join the exceptional event and dinner: the young actors Camélia Jordana and Arnaud Valois, Marie-Ange Casta, Alice Taglioni, Delphine Arnault, Chef Thierry Marx and Fleur Pellerin, who are also part of the Top 50. With the support of Chopard and Renault, the evening took place in the most exclusive atmosphere… just as we a like them.
