Vanity Fair celebrates the 50 Most Influential French People in the World

Vanity Fair France hosted a star-studded dinner in Paris to celebrate the magazine’s annual list of the 50 most influential French people in the world. The 2019 impressive honorees come from the worlds of politics, luxury, film, art, culture, food, social engagement, sports and science. Topping this year’s luxurious list are power couple Leila Bekhti and Tahar Rahim who also grace the cover of the magazine’s December issue, posing together for the first time ever. They’ll also share credits in upcoming TV series from Damien Chazelle for Netflix “The Eddy.” The eclectic list blends established names with up-and-coming talent across all genders and genres from actresses Léa Seydoux, Emma Mackey and Catherine Deneuve to athletes like soccer players Wendie Richard and Karim Benzema, this year’s Cannes Film Festival standout Mati Diop to the festival longtime Artistic Director Thierry Frémaux, businessmen François-Henri Pinault and Emmanuel Faber (Danone) to businesswomen Juliette Lévy (Oh My Cream!) and Mathilde Thomas (Caudalie), singer Aya Nakamura and rappers PNL to French President Emmanuel Macron. And how do influential French people celebrate? With a luxurious dinner of course. Vanity Fair France’s Michel Denisot and Joseph Ghosn welcomed a VIP  guest list complete with several Top 50 honorees and famous friends to celebrate with a dinner made by chef Céline Pham (who also made the list in the “Food” section.) The dinner was organized in the sumptuous salons of Paris’ famous Musée des Arts Décoratifs whose director Olivier Gabet also made the prestigious list. Virginie Efira and Niels Schneider, Emma Mackey, Benoît Magimel, Mademoiselle Agnès, were among the all-star cast of this elegant evening sponsored by Chopard and Sofitel.
