Eva Ionesco presents her film “Une Jeunesse dorée”
“Une Jeunesse dorée” spotlights the generation who went clubbing at iconic Parisian nightlife venue Le Palace. It’s a story that continues to fascinate today, and it’s one that director Eva Ionesco knows well. It inspired her new film, which features a trio representing this new guard of overexcited creative minds: Galatea Bellugi, Lukas Ionesco and Nassim Guizani. Mixing with an older couple played by Isabelle Hubert and Melvil Poupaud, the young protagonists recall how their love bloomed against a backdrop of exuberance and glitter. Following the premiere of the movie (which was produced by Mélita Toscan du Plantier and Marie-Jeanne Pascal, and will be released in theaters on January 16), the film team partied with Vincent Darré, Joséphine de la Baume and other creatures of the night at Silencio to celebrate in the spirit of the ‘80s, as Lukas Ionesco’s band performed a live set.
