Under the Sea: A Tribute to Vivetta’s Dreamlike Universe

Milan

The Spring-Summer 2026 collection marks a fresh chapter for Vivetta. Following the recent departure of its founder, Vivetta Ponti’s design team has chosen to dive back into the sea as a way of carrying forward the brand’s dreamy universe, evoking an ocean bursting with mythical characters. Fittingly, the show was titled Sirens Just Want To Have Fun. Like mermaids drifting between two worlds—water and land—Vivetta’s surrealism keeps shape-shifting, slipping effortlessly into everyday life and infusing it with a playful spirit. Poplin dresses shimmer with fish-scale textures and delicate mother-of-pearl shirt buttons. Terry cloth suits sparkle with sequin stripes, metallic seahorses, and lace embroidered with tiny crabs. The shirt takes centre stage, constantly reinventing itself—elongated into sweeping gowns or cropped into flirtatious minis. The seabed is a rich source of inspiration for accessories: fish-shaped handbags, octopus-like rings and bracelets, necklaces strung with seahorse combs. Shoes are elevated with gold-plated, hand-painted heels that echo the form of sea urchins. Among the audience were Nina Zilli, Rebecca Canevali, Virginia Varinelli, La B. Fujiko, Senza Cri, Emily Pallini and Kelly Rutherford.
