Tod’s Tattoo Attracts French and International Fashion Crowd
It is a real rush of personalities who gathered in the shop Tod’s rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré this Friday on the occasion of the launch of his project in collaboration with the Indian tattoo artist Saira Hunjan, Tod’s Tattoo. Between the top models Joan Smalls and Lily Donaldson, the flow of French actresses (Virginie Ledoyen, Sylvie Testud, Audrey Fleurot), and the French and international press well represented by Virginie Mouzat or Suzy Menkes, mercury was boiling in the people thermometer. To the sound of a DJ set signed Hala Moawad, the guests were able to attend a performance by Saira Hunjan who tattooed live a piece of leather intended to become a bag in the image of those already exhibited in store. Installed in an ephemeral tattoo studio decorated with the motif (an oriental lion with a thousand details) that she engraves on the tanned skin of Tod’s bags and moccasins, the artist has demonstrated the full extent of her know-how, unearthed by the CEO of the house Diego Della Valle. The evening continued at Castel’s, this time in a more intimate atmosphere for a dinner in the presence of the relatives of the house.
