Tiles and Tales, at the Seletti store, rivers of words (and irony)
Play with wordplay, letters and textual short circuits the new collaboration between Seletti, the most unconventional design company on Planet Earth, and the digital artist Alessandro Malossi. The collaboration is called Tiles and Tales and will wrap every moment of our day with massive doses of irony, involving various areas of the house: from the kitchen to the dining room. The series includes table complements such as cups, plates, and glasses; home objects like the mat, vase, mirror, cushion, and deck chair, all the way to the indispensable clutch bags. “Alessandro’s fresh approach and his ability to dialogue with the present have been the ideal match with our attitude, – Stefano Seletti tells – “The result is an unexpected and unconventional collaboration.” The capsule was presented to the public last evening in the vibrant Seletti store on Corso Garibaldi in Milan. Every environment was literally invaded by messages as provocative as they were unsettling. An example? The cup, where the inscription (C)OFFE S(U)PPORTS PEO(P)LE subtly combines the letters CUP, and the POUCH, with the expression (P)UT Y(O)UR (U)NNECESSARY OBJE(C)TS (H)ERE, reminds you not to forget to have with you everything that may seem useless. Several figures from the worlds of art, entertainment, and design took part in the Milanese rendezvous. Along with Stefano Seletti and Alessandro Malossi, Gaia, Aurora Ramazzotti, Paola Di Benedetto, Pietro Terzini, Antonio Aricò, Annie Mazzola, Andrea Faccio, Cristina Musacchio, Paola Barale, Lady Tarin, Alice Venturi, Pierluca Mariti, Tommaso Zorzi, Elena Hazinah, Eros Galbiati, Vincenzo Maisto, Adriana e Luciana Toledo and Paride Vitale attended.
