The Winners of the Liliane Bettencourt Prize pour l’Intelligence de la Main Revealed
Every year, the Liliane Bettencourt Prize pour I’intelligence de la main rewards three emerging talents in the field of artistic crafts, in order to promote strategic areas of development: knowledge transmission, innovation, transdisciplinarity, and the revitalization of local territories.
On Thursday, October 16, the 2025 jury, chaired by President and CEO of the Louvre Museum Laurence des Cars, revealed the winners. The Talents award went to cabinetmaker Jean-Brieuc Chevalier for his artwork “Mille fleurs”. The Dialogues award, which honors collaboration between a craftsperson and a designer, went to Élodie Michaud (stuccoist-plasterer) and Rebecca Fezard (designer) for “Tufo,” a coffee table made of Leatherstone®. Finally, given to an organization committed to the arts and crafts, the Parcours award went to the Musée de la Nacre et de la Tabletterie in Méru.
The Prize has now been awarded to more than 135 craftspeople and designers representing over 50 areas of expertise. Through this award, the Foundation, chaired by Françoise Bettencourt Meyers, aims to “give wings to talents” to contribute to France’s success and influence.
We met laureates Élodie Michaud, Rebecca Fezard, and Jean-Brieuc Chevalier, alongside Laurence des Cars, Françoise Bettencourt Meyers, Benoît Astier de Villatte, José Lévy, Hervé Lemoine, and others.
