‘The Way We Are’: Armani/Silos celebrates Emporio Armani’s 40th anniversary
2021 is a symbolic year for Giorgio Armani. The pope of Italian fashion is celebrating the 40th anniversary of his iconic Emporio Armani line created back in 1981. One of the first designers to diversify his offer by creating the various lines we know today, Giorgio Armani has played a pioneering role in the luxury ready-to-wear industry. During Milan Fashion Week – which is currently unveiling its collections for Spring/Summer 2022 – Armani/Silos is presenting a major exhibition celebrating this 40th anniversary. The exhibition runs until February 6. “The Way We Are”, unlike a retrospective, takes a look at the contemporary identity of the brand. It is a manifesto personally thought by its creator Giorgio Armani. Here’s a look back at the exhibition’s opening.
